This micro retreat space was based upon a variety of ancient Norse building techniques and modern Scandinavian design. The space is crisp, passive, and comforting, in effort to compliment the dark opulence of the mythical and surreal land surrounding it. The space also takes in some central elements of Iceland including motifs of its ancient Norse folklore and natural gifts of the land.
